CRM Wishes A Happy Retirement To Julie Kennedy

The team at CRM said a fond farewell to retiring Office Administrator Julie Kennedy on 30 June. As one of the longest serving members of staff, Julie has been a stalwart of the Oxfordshire accountancy firm for almost 30 years.

In that time, Julie has been involved in all elements of the business, from reception duties and debtor collections to helping with the preparation of accounts, tax returns and company secretarial work. Her reassuring presence and humour has been a great comfort and support to all team members over the years.

To celebrate her retirement, the team had an excellent night out and presented Julie with flowers and gifts from all of the team. Notoriously camera shy, the team finally managed to get a lovely photograph of Julie on her marvellous send-off.

Julie plans to enjoy her retirement by spending more time with her grandchildren and keeping up with her hobbies of reading, baking, knitting and cross-stitch as well as continuing her work with the Oxfordshire Family History Society.

The team at CRM will be very sorry to see Julie go and have been chatting about their best memories of working with her as well as reminiscing over the funny stories and her classic quotes / sayings over the years.

“Julie has been a constant in the office. Every March we will remember her annual panic of stocking up on stamps before the postage price goes up! One day we will find all the spare stamps that she put away for safe keeping since 2005!”

‘’Hopefully in her retirement, Julie will be able to slow down a little and enjoy reading books and baking’’

‘’We will look forward to Julie coming to visit at Christmas time as she is renowned for her mince pies and running the annual Christmas Quiz and of course that famous Julie saying – Foiled again said the turkey at Christmas’’

“One amusing memory is from when Julie was in charge of collecting client debts. When Julie’s husband Pete worked for CRM he was having a meeting with a client and, at the end of the meeting, the client said ‘I owe some money to CRM so better go and see the rottweiler’, Pete then said ‘that rottweiler is my wife!’”

Julie, we would use one of your favourite lines and say: “We have seen it all before and it wasn’t impressive the first time!” But that wouldn’t be true, you will be truly missed! Happy retirement Julie.
