CRM Summary: The Chancellor’s Spring Budget 2023

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt delivered his first formal Budget on 15 March 2023. The Chancellor set out measures to encourage the ‘non-economically active’ back to work in a climate of high inflation, widespread industrial action and banking uncertainty.

Measures such as pension tax reforms, childcare provisions and help with domestic energy costs were announced along with a reminder of the previously planned changes coming into force in April 2023.

CRM’s Technical Director Alan Sowden has fully reviewed the Spring Budget and has prepared a comprehensive summary of the existing and new changes on the table, along with some useful tips to help with your taxation planning.
