Tony Hobbs – Managing Director
As managing director of CRM I have an overview of all activities, but have a particular interest in business development. This has evolved through a combination of working closely with clients on the financial management of their business, and background studying and courses that I have undertaken, which has led to the development of our Business Improvement Programme. Certainly for me this is the aspect of CRM that I have found the most rewarding and enjoyable. I get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing clients succeed and knowing that CRM have made a positive contribution towards this success. I also enjoy working as a non-executive director for companies, providing strategic as well as financial input and support.
Away from the office I am interested in most sports, particularly Rugby Union, and also walking and climbing. I also have an interest in Martial Arts. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children whenever possible.

Noel Heaven – Director
After leaving Magdalen College School in 1979 I worked in accountancy practices in Oxford before joining CRM in 1990. I was appointed a partner in 1995 and subsequently became a director.
My particular interest is with the small business sector. I enjoy the interaction with the clients and discussing with them the various ways in which I can help them, and their business, to be successful. It is a very positive and rewarding experience to assist people to achieve their own goals and those of their business. Accountancy is much more than producing year end accounts and tax returns. Away from work I enjoy most sports ( as long as a ball is involved!), in particular football and cricket. I have supported Everton since 1968 so my loyalty to lost causes has never been in question! In the last few years I have started to play golf and my ambition is to hit the fairway on two successive holes. I am also a member of The Salvation Army and have played in the band for many years. If you need someone to blow your trumpet then I’m your man!

Alan Sowden – Technical Director
I joined CRM in 1998 as a trainee. Following the successful completion of my ACCA exams I decided to further my tax expertise by studying for the Chartered Tax Adviser qualification (having vowed at my ACCA finals never to sit another exam!). Having attained both of these qualifications, along with the Financial Planning Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute, I was appointed a director of CRM in 2004. Although my qualifications and work have given me a wide and varied experience of numerous aspects of business, my main focus and specialism has long been that of taxation, and in particular that of offering pro-active and innovative tax planning solutions and advice.
Outside of work my main interests are in keeping fit through Ju Jitsu training (in between all too frequent injury breaks!) and the less healthy pursuit of being a dedicated London Irish RFC supporter.

Jim Moore – Director
As a founder director of the business, my client work involves all aspects of accountancy.
My interests out of the office include golf and travel.
Paul Skinner FCCA – Systems Manager
I joined CRM in July 2004 at the age of 18 after finishing my A levels. I then went on to complete all 14 exams of ACCA and after sitting the final exam in December 2009 was very relieved to find out in February 2010 that I had passed and could call myself a qualified accountant.
My role at CRM means that as well as undertaking the normal tasks such as accounts preparation and tax work, I also assist in the mentoring and training of staff. I am also responsible for checking and implementing the systems we have. This also seems to involve assisting fellow team members with IT problems!!!
Away from work I enjoy most sports, in particular football and darts which I play and watch as often as I can. I had trials for Oxford United, Wycombe Wanderers and Peterborough United when I was younger but unfortunately I did not make it as a professional so went for the profession of an accountant instead!!!
I have supported Arsenal since I was 5 and was lucky enough to have played at Highbury before Arsenal moved stadiums. I was then fortunate enough to be offered a season ticket at Arsenal in 2007 and have held this since.
Rebecca Blake – ACCA
I joined CRM in July 2011 after previously working in industry. I am enjoying working in accountancy practice and learning all the different areas of accounting.
Before joining Chapman, Robinson and Moore, I studied part time and completed my AAT technician level. I am currently attending Reed Business School and studying towards an ACCA qualification.
The areas of accounting that I enjoy most are preparing end of year accounts, payroll and visiting clients.

Emma Bullock – Office Manager
I joined CRM in April 2018 after spending the last three years working in practice after previously working in industry.
I am currently studying towards an ACCA qualification and love that working in practice allows you to be in involved with all areas of accounting.
Since joining Chapman, Robinson and Moore, I have quickly become the ‘Xero Guru’ for training and assistance so hopefully my ‘skills’ have now been passed on to my colleagues and clients!
I really enjoy meeting our clients and seeing the difference our support & services can make to their businesses.
Outside of work, I begrudgingly go to the gym at 6am each day (then spend the rest of day thinking of eating steak!) but really enjoy going to the cinema, eating nice food, travelling and spending time with my family and miniature schnauzer ‘Ned’ (named after Ned Stark from Game of Thrones).
After living in Spain for 7 years, I am very passionate about the country and everything Spanish and look forward to my retirement days of sipping Sangria in the sun…although this is a long way off!!
Katerina Kurgane – ACA
After finishing classical art school and art college I decided to do mathematics and computer science degree (as you naturally would). Meanwhile, I also obtained a certificate in tourism and hotel management, worked for a tourism company and number of hotels, a multimedia design company, a drama theatre – just to make sure my student life wasn’t monotone and boring.
In the end, I realised that accountancy was my calling. I am now ACA qualified accountant. After training with several Oxfordshire firms and nearly a decade of experience, I joined Chapman Robinson and Moore in March 2018. I enjoy the different aspects and challenges that accountancy has to offer. These include meeting clients, learning about their businesses and finding solutions for clients’ needs.
My life’s motto is: “Whatever you do, give it a 100% or don’t do it at all!” Although, I have a wide variety of interests, I am very passionate about everything I do and no matter what I do, I do it with enthusiasm and maximum focus. Some might find it sad but I am mad about accountancy and numbers. While people choose to solve puzzles in order to relax, I solve puzzles as part of my job! What could be better?!
When I am not at work I like to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy going to theatres and live an active life – walking, hiking, camping, cycling. I love leading a busy life and there is no such thing as “spare time” in my dictionary. And finally, my profile would not be complete if I did not mention my passion for tennis. I may not be quite on the Wimbledon level just yet but I do enjoy playing for my local club and eating strawberries with cream.
Charlotte Joyce – Part-qualified ACCA
I joined CRM in August 2014. Having completed the AAT qualification, I am now moving on to study ACCA.
I have previously worked in both practice and industry, which has given me great experience and a platform which I hope will help both my ongoing studies and working responsibilities.
I am really enjoying my time at Chapman, Robinson & Moore, and I hope to grow with the business. I love learning new things and I have already developed my knowledge and understanding of practices and clients. I take pride in my work and hope to be of assistance to both colleagues and clients – It’s great to be part of a fantastic and talented team where everyone plays such a vital role in the business’ success.
Away from work, I like to socialise with family and friends, I like to keep fit and I am a keen runner. Having completed two half marathons, I hope to start and (hopefully!) finish the London Marathon in 2020! A big challenge, but I think I’m up to it.

Loren Forbes – Trainee
I joined CRM in February 2018 after starting my finance career in the banking sector. I am currently a trainee accountant and loving learning all the skills that come with the new role.
Outside of the work I enjoy reading, fitness and spending time with friends and family.
Kate Thomas – Trainee
After finishing my Mathematics degree, I decided that I wanted to go into the accounting and finance sector. I joined CRM in July 2017 as a trainee accountant, and have been loving it ever since! I particularly enjoy the variety it brings as no two clients are the same and hope to develop my skills within the company to be able to deliver exceptional service.
Outside of work I enjoy socialising with my friends and family, and travelling to various countries learning about their culture.
Jake Ormrod – Trainee
I joined CRM in May 2018 after completing my A levels.
I have really enjoyed working on a variety of different businesses since joining and I am looking forward to gaining more insight into accounting and business in years to come. My goal is to pass all the exams and complete the ACCA qualification.
Alison Weston – Office Administrator
I joined CRM in December 2017 to support the administrative side of the business and to be the first point of contact for calls and visitors to the office.
Previously I have worked in the banking industry and also admin support roles.
Outside of work I enjoy swimming and reading and spending time with family and friends.
Julie Kennedy – Office Administrator
I started working for CRM in 1993 for 8 hours per week, term time only! This arrangement didn’t last long and I became a full time employee. I am usually the first point of contact in the office but also help my colleagues with the preparation of accounts, tax returns and company secretarial work. Outside work I spend a lot of time with my family and enjoy reading, quilting and embroidery. I have spent over 35 years researching my family history and am secretary of the Oxfordshire Family History Society.
