The year seems to have flown by but the busy team at CRM made time for some fun fundraising for 2022 charity partner, Tiny Tickers.
The year rounded off with a Christmas raffle for some tasty treats in a packed hamper! Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, the raffle raised over £1,000, with a special thanks to the IP Asset Partnership for their very generous donation.
With the raffle proceeds added, the grand total of fundraising for Tiny Tickers in 2022 totalled £10,500 – an amazing amount and the largest sum we’ve raised at CRM for our charity partner.
CRM Director Jessica Mason said: “I’m very proud of the whole team and so grateful for the support from all our clients and CRM friends too – it’s been a tremendous year for fundraising. We were able to return to a full programme of events and we have enjoyed working with Tiny Tickers and understanding more about the exceptional work they do to support families and babies with heart conditions.”
CRM’s fundraising efforts began with a yummy Bake Sale during Heart Week (7-14 February), a fitting time to introduce Tiny Tickers to clients and other local businesses. A Family Fun Day followed in April – a sell-out, with 65 children and their parents enjoying an afternoon of frantic fun and marvellous magic!
To work off some of the calories gained in the first two fundraising events, some CRM team members took on the Blenheim 7K Fun Run in May. Set in the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace, the intrepid team of runners and non-runners were Kat, Tony, Jessica, Hannah, Beccy, Jess, Kate and Loren, plus Kat’s daughters who completed the one mile race.
And to complete the first half year of fundraising, CRM Director Jim Moore completed the gruelling Big Bike Ride, cycling 70 miles from Westminster to Islip.
The team hosted a big Charity Race Night in September where clients, friends and charity representatives came together for a fun night betting on eight races which were all sponsored. A who~pping £4500 was raised for Tiny Tickers at this lively event.
CRM accountant Beccy Blake, who nominated Tiny Tickers following her own personal experience, was blown away with the total: “I know that £10,500 will make a big difference to this little charity with a big mission to improve the early detection and care of babies with serious heart conditions.”
Jon Arnold, CEO of Tiny Tickers, said: “It’s been a pleasure to have had the support of the whole CRM team over the last year – raising a truly phenomenal amount of money that’s making a big difference to our small charity. We know times are tough at the moment, so it’s been wonderful to have the business come together and organise so much fundraising on our behalf.
“We really appreciate everyone’s efforts. We’re putting the money to good use ensuring it has a lasting impact helping babies with congenital heart disease, their families, and the health professionals who look after them. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the fundraising efforts during 2022 – we’re so grateful!”
Discussions are now underway to decide which charity will be nominated as CRM’s partner for 2023. Watch this space for more details.
