CRM Charity Partnership extended

We are excited to announce that the team at CRM has voted to continue our charity partnership with Daybreak Oxford for 2021. We are really looking forward to getting back on track with our fundraising events in the Spring to support this vital local support service.

Charity fundraising in 2020 was a major challenge for many businesses, with no large events taking place and even our own Race Night and other fundraisers having to be put on hold.

“Although we managed to raise funds through our Donate Day and Christmas Hamper Raffle last year, as a team, we feel that we owe it to such an inspiring and hardworking charity to continue our support through 2021. We hope that Daybreak Oxford will be able to reinstate the excellent work it does through its Day Centres for people suffering from Dementia all around Oxford,” said Tony Hobbs, Managing Director at Chapman Robinson & Moore.

Dementia is incurable but not untreatable and Daybreak offers respite to sufferers and their carers through day club attendance. Daybreak runs three-day centres in Kidlington, Greater Leys and North Oxford, it is a vital local charity that hasn’t been able to offer as much support for people living with dementia during the pandemic.

The day centres help people with dementia to maintain their skills and abilities, provide enjoyment and companionship and give family carers a break from their care-giving responsibilities.  For some club members, their visit to a Daybreak centre might be the only time they leave their home each week.

It is vital that the charity gets the Day Centres back up and running in 2021 and the team at CRM are right behind it with lots of plans for fundraising and support. Please keep looking out for details of our fundraising plans in 2021, it’s going to be fun!
