Paul Skinner Managing Director

FCCA

I joined CRM in 2004 as a trainee and, over the past 21 years, I’ve held a variety of roles, including Systems Manager, before being appointed a Director in 2020 and then Managing Director in 2025.

In my current role, I oversee the day-to-day running of the business, lead on long-term planning, forecasting and budgeting, and work closely with the other directors. Alongside this, I continue to support clients with their accounting needs, which remains one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I particularly enjoy helping clients grow, using the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to guide and support them in understanding their numbers and the wider world of accountancy.

I’m known for being organised, conscientious, and detail-oriented – someone who likes to do things properly. I’m also the go-to person in the office for solving any tech problems that crop up!

Outside of work, it’s all about family and football for me. I’ve supported Arsenal since I was five and was lucky enough to play at Highbury and also previously held a season ticket at the Emirates. I have been heavily involved for a number of years in the running of a local football league and also Yarnton FC, where I hold various roles and I proudly managed the first team to a league and cup double in 2025. Knowing that if I have a bad day at work or football that I can go home to my family always makes the day better and puts things in to perspective.

While being a professional footballer would have been the dream, by the age of 14 I knew being an accountant was more realistic – I’ve always had a head for maths and numbers, so it’s fair to say I found the right fit!
