We’ve been talking about business growth all summer in our blogs and now we’re delighted to announce the latest growth in the CRM team.
For our own ‘summer of growth’, we recently welcomed Charlotte Joyce back from maternity leave and two brand new trainee accountants – Hannah Briggs and Jess Mendes. Let’s meet them:
Hannah joined CRM in August having previously worked as a veterinary nurse for six years. “It might seem like a strange career change but I was very involved in the admin and accounts side of the vet practice and realised that I’d like to focus on that and develop my career in that direction,” said Hannah. “I still have lots of contact with animals as I have a horse and enjoy riding her and walking my dog in my spare time.”
Jess joined CRM in September having worked in credit control and achieving her AAT qualifications. She’s looking forward to building on her financial knowledge and working towards becoming a fully qualified accountant. “There was a lot to take in at first but the team is very friendly and helpful which has made it easy to settle in,” Jess said. “And if I get a bit stressed, there’s always my yoga classes, which I’ve recently discovered, to help me relax.”
We are delighted to expand our team and support the training of two brand new accountants at CRM. As new starters, Hannah and Jess were assigned a mentor, Hannah works alongside Becky and Jess works with Jake. They are allocated tasks on a wide range of real client work and are getting to grips with many different duties. Their ACCA studies will begin next year when the two trainees have had further experience of working at CRM.
Both Hannah and Jess got to enjoy their first social event at CRM recently when the office closed early on a Friday for a meal out. Both new recruits said it was great to meet the whole team together and find out more about each other outside the office.
Our part-qualified accountant Charlotte returned from maternity leave into a part-time role with CRM. She is pleased to be back with her CRM family and is keen to continue her ACCA studies to become fully qualified.
“It’s so good to see my colleagues again and get to grips with the changes that have taken place since I was last here. There are even more online systems for our accountancy work and studies to get my head around and I’m heading straight into the Tax level of my ACCA qualifications, so it’ll be a busy autumn for me leading up to my first exam in December since June 2019,” explained Charlotte.
“Throughout my time at CRM, I’ve been very lucky with the support I receive from the team, both the directors and the other trainees, and I know there is a wealth of business and accountancy knowledge to tap into all around the office when I need it!”
