A magical charity Family Fun Day

We were absolutely delighted with the first big fundraiser for our 2022 nominated charity, Tiny Tickers. Our Family Fun Day in April was a sell-out with 65 children and their parents coming along to St John’s Church Hall in Kidlington for an afternoon of frantic fun and marvellous magic!

The fundraising event raised £1500 for Tiny Tickers, which works hard to improve the early detection and care of babies with serious heart conditions.

Local magician and entertainer, Magic Peter, put on a brilliant magic show for the children which they really enjoyed – ‘supersonic sausages’ were the magic words! Magic Peter involved the adults to help with the tricks, along with some children as his assistants.

As well as enjoying the magic show and a lucky dip, there were wands and magic tricks for sale and drinks and cakes made by CRM staff to buy. Stanley’s Sweet Shop in Kidlington did a roaring trade from its treat stall!

For adults, there was the chance to win something special in the raffle, with great prizes kindly donated by local venues and businesses including The Yurt at Nicholson’s, Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Fairy Tale Farm.

CRM Business Development Director, Jessica Mason said: “The CRM team were brilliant, baking cakes and helping out on the day. It was a lovely event with everyone’s children able to enjoy the special day and we were so pleased with how much we raised.”

Gaynor Bearder from Tiny Tickers was thrilled with the amount raised and impressed with the event idea: “Thank you so much! The photos looked amazing and the idea was so imaginative, I’m not sure we’ve ever had anything like it before!”
