Did you meet the Self Assessment deadline of 31st January?
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) must receive your tax return and any money you owe by 31st January. If you are late, then penalties usually apply.
10.76 million Self Assessment returns were submitted before the deadline of which 9.57 million of those were completed online.
More than 4.65m returns were received in January.
The busiest hour was 4-5pm on 31 January, when 60,728 returns were received, 17 per second!
However, not everyone makes that deadline on time.
